Companies that produce supplements would like for you to believe that powders and shakes have some magical power of burning fat or building muscles. The truth is that those substances are not more than just meal in powder (or in liquid). The main advantage of those products is convenience. It is hard to eat frequently and supply enough good quality protein for your body. Supplements (gainers, carbo, protein) are great when you don’t have enough time to eat a normal meal but they are NOT better than normal food, whatever the supplement “expert” tells you.
Lie #5 Thermogenic fat-burners containing efedrine and caffeine are highly efficient in losing fat forever
Thermogenics work but they don’t create miracles and are not a substitute for normal food and training. Because the main ingredients (epheridine and caffeine) strongly stimulate the nerve system, they have side effects. If you use thermogenics pay attention to everything and never ever use them if you are vulnerable or have, high blood pressure, thyroid or hear problems. If you are not sure if products with epheridine are safe for you, consult your doctor first.

If somebody has wrong diet or doesn’t training he can start loosing fat fast and easy. All he/she has to do is fix the diet and start training, that way one can have huge results. Well to be honest yes, it is possible. But what’s really important is to ask this questuin “How can I lose 30 punds of FAT permanently and without any health problems?”
Don’t think that losing weight and losing fat is the same thing. Your body consists in 70% of water, so it is easy to lose weight fast. Every diet that dehydrates you will reduce your weight (but not FAT, which is the real problem).
Lie #11 If everything else fails use steroids, growth hormones, obesity drugs or surgical operation will help get ride of that fat
Taking ANY kind of drug to lose weight is nothing more than a desperate short term answer to problems that are caused by hidden problems and root causes. If you want to be thin forever, you have to identify the causes of to much fat in your body. It can be a wrong diet, no exercises, unhealthy lifestyle and negative self-esteem. And after you identify it, you have to fix it, only then when the source of problems will be eliminated the unwanted effects will disappear.

You can achieve “training effect” (increased muscle mass and strength) in only two 30 minute trainings a week - yes it is true but to be really fatless and muscular - forget it! If it was that way, then all the great bodybuilders would do it. There is no such thing as free lunch, effects are always proportional to the work you do.
